End-Week Stillman Post

Ok, so a few of you were asking how the Stillman week went and I have to tell you that it did indeed go well. While you have to take into account that it is "fad" dieting and that it's tough, there is no starvation involved and in small time frames I really see no problem with it. Mon-Wed was below, so here was the final for the week (only did it for 5 days, Mon-Fri):

Thurs:
6: 20min workout, Jillian/Shred
8:30: 2 egg muffins, .5c lf cottage cheese
11: 3oz chicken breast
1: 1.8oz beef jerky
3:30: egg muffin, 1oz ham
5: 1 deviled egg with ham
6:30: 7 mussels, 1oz ceviche, 2oz mahi-mahi, 1oz chorizo (out with girlfriends and managed not to drink, yay me :) )
8:30: 1deviled egg with ham
11: .5c lf cottage cheese, 1oz turkey

Fri:
8: 1egg, .5c eggbeaters, 1T lf cheese, .5oz ham, 1oz turkey
11:30: 5oz turkey
2:30: 1c lf cottage cheese
4: 1oz ham, 1.8oz beef jerky
6: 2 hard-boiled eggs
7:30: 4oz pork, 1T mango salsa
8: bike ride
(out for friends birthday at pub, managed not to drink, yay me, made Steven miserable, but he went back out later :) )
9:30: 4oz turkey burger, 1T ketchup
11: 1oz provolone, 1oz salami

Ok, so the one thing it REALLY helped me with was making sure that I understood the amount of drinking I was doing weekly and the number of drinking situations I find myself in weekly, of which there are many. I will not lose this weight drinking every day so it's really going to be watched.

As hard as it is to believe, I did not step on the scale Saturday morning, since the SBC meeting is Sunday and that's when I was going to weigh-in. I went off Stillman Saturday morning, though I made sure I was still "on" (see previous post from 6/9/08) and enjoyed a whole wheat English Muffin w/ fat free cheese and ham and enjoyed a fabulous dinner at La Tavola with friends and excellent wine that evening.

The SBC had a snag Sunday morning, but I still weighed in and stepping on the scale was confident and prepared that whatever the result I knew that I did great and was feeling better from the previous week. Well, I found that I had lost 7.6 pounds, which yes, is extreme, but that showed me what I had been holding onto from the drinking and snacking.

I am "on", but focusing on healthy and not so processed foods for this week and next and will reevaluate my progress for the week of June 30th. My big focus is to keep pushing for at least 20 mins/day working out.

Thanks for reading...have a happy and healthy week!

Carrie
