I Am On!

So that's what my sister and I call it when we're super pumped and just really focused on being healthy, food and exercise-wise. I AM ON! I have been meeting with some girlfriends for the past few weekends, collectively called the Atlanta SBC (Skinny Bitches Club), website coming soon :), www.atlantasbc.com and even though I've been o.k. I have been far from "on," maintaining at 239.6 or thereabouts every week...not good! I mainly say that I have been "far from on" because I have been very focused on work, meaning more socializing and more drinking and mainly more snacking and late night eating. So, I'm on!

I'm kicking things off this week getting back into the morning workouts (the 2:30am trash truck didn't help, welcome to living downtown :) ) and I'm on the Stillman Diet this week. Now, I know that we all hate the word "diet," but the Stillman Diet is certainly that and is the predecessor, so to speak, of the Atkins Diet, minus the fat and gluttonous behavior :). This is a good link to it: www.lowcarb.org/stillman.html and it pretty much is really only a good idea for a week as a kick start or when you want to drop a good bit of weight for a photo shoot, filming, etc (my mom used to do it when she was a model). I particularly do not like it because I love fruits and vegetables, but I do like that it keeps me away from carbs, especially simple ones for a solid week, which are the easiest to snack on besides fruit and veggies. It keeps you away from processed foods, which is good, and relies on lean meats and eggs, which I am also fine with.

So, one week on and I'll keep checking in and noting my progress for anyone reading :). Looking forward to hitting the beach in a couple of weeks and since I have started to hit the pool I don't like that I'm still above 200#, which I should have focused on breaking long before now. Nevertheless, I AM ON!
